To serve as an AMIAS in New York South Area members must be at least 25 years old, a member of Al-Anon for at least two years, and a resident of the New York South Area.

New York South Assembly Area AMIAS Training for 2023 is now over. Training dates for 2024 will be posted in January or February of next year.

All Al-Anon Members Involved in Alateen Service (AMIAS) must certify annually to meet the New York South Area Safety and Behavioral requirements. The deadline for annual certification with WSO is June 15, 2023.

If you are currently a certified AMIAS or are new to Alateen service, a training session must be completed and paperwork for Alateen service must be submitted before the deadline in order to continue to sponsor Alateen groups.
