Conference Approved Literature
Since its founding in 1951, Al-Anon Family Groups has published many different types of “CAL” (Conference Approved Literature)—everything from bookmarks to broadsheets to daily readers to in-depth workbooks. Literature is only one tool in Al-Anon. It is meant to be read in the context of a recovery program built upon going to meetings and using the many other tools available to us. But CAL can be a lifesaver when time is tight or meetings are scarce. And it’s a great way to learn more about the Al-Anon program.
Conference Approved Literature can be purchased from the NYC Al-Anon Intergroup bookshop, which operates as a non-profit Literature Distribution Center.
